hell I find it completely believable that we’ll have that war in the next 30 days

Every day I mourn that fact that I’ll never be able to have kids because of how uninhabitable the States have become both financially and spiritually.

I am also convinced that the next 10 to 15 years will be somewhat severe in America as we will be dealing with climate change much sooner than expected. I also believe that we will see a boilover conflict to the infestation of Christians and Evangicals Regan gave an insidious platform to. Particularly if the GOP nomination of Trump wins a second presidency. Lastly, the conflict in the Middle East threatens to drag the US into another proxy war with some pretty sketchy countries, which is also worrisome. With all the being said though, it seems that throughout history, there was always something going on that gave parents thought for pause. I will admit though that I do feel that there are many things happening that seem to obscure the future of the yellow brick road. FWIW when I was faced with this decision many years ago, I chose not to be a parent as I was afraid that I could not provide stability.

Ehh, nuclear war seems unlikely to me. Why did America feel confident nuking Japan? Because no other country has nukes to stop them. And the reason a nuke hasn’t been launched since is because there are plenty of advesaries that do have nukes. Mutually assured destruction. You think America didn’t want to nuke the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, etc.? There’s a reason they never did. I don’t think it’s likely they ever will.

Traditional warfare, drone warfare, cyber warfare, proxy wars, climate change; all very real concerns for the late stage capitalism world we find ourselves in. I’m just not too concerned about nuclear war.
