What exactly is the difference between the Israeli strikes on Gaza and the hamas/etc. strikes on Israel that makes one cold blooded murder and the other collateral damage? Because in my world, collateral damage is a pretty good term for the damage wrought by homemade rockets launched in a desperate, flailing attempt against much better equipped captors, whereas said captors, striking with relatively precise weapons, on the heart of an incredibly dense population center where there is guaranteed to be tons of “collateral damage”, is a lot closer to cold blooded murder. Especially considering israeli air strikes on gaza didn’t start with this particular clash.

Israel has mapped every square inch of Gaza. They know where clinics are, they know where mosques are, they know where apartments are. Israel also uses incredibly precise bombs.

What this means is there is no “collateral damage” in Israeli bombings of Gaza, because every single death and every bit of damage causes is intentional. Every death caused by a bomb dropped on Gaza can be considered first degree murder, intentional and premeditated.
