the anti-interventionist strain of libertarianism?
i don’t want to claim any kind of redemption arc, because I do not know the inside of their mind, and their correct words alone don’t mean anything, but usually if it were merely anti-interventionist libertarianism, they would be doing the Rand Paul thing of complaining about the loss of Amerikkkan “blood and treasure” in the “middle eastern quagmire” rather than lamenting the loss of civilian life to imperialism.

So remember: as we mourn the tragedy of what happened on 9/11 on all the American lives lost, also realize that it was a tool that was used for the rise of the police state. It was enabled the Patriot Act to be able to be passed, which is why we see the NSA and the FBI being so powerful today. It’s why they were able to have mass surveillance of all US citizens. Uh, we were then told that they were weapons of mass destruction, and then we invaded a country that had no one involved in 9/11; 19, I believe Saudi Arabians, carried out this terrible act. And so then we invade Iraq and Afghanistan. I don’t really see how that makes any sense. Uh, just remember that our government will always do what is in the best interests of the ruling class. And if that is to destroy American lives, they will either sit by or they will do it themselves.
So unlike the attention-grabbing image, pretty much all the concern in this video is indeed about blood and treasure + lost civil liberties for Americans, not the millions of deaths caused overseas.
