Sorry for the late response 😅

But to put it briefly, I was just kinda fascinated by the Chinese tech scene. Specifically the smartphone market post-2019 huawei ban. That led me into learning about china infrastructure efforts.

I don’t think I’d call myself “pro-china.” I’m not “pro-any country.” But I think that it’s genuinely a pretty neat place I’d like to visit someday.

PS, this video is really fucking cool 😁

Clickbaity title, but I found it super informative.

All good! Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah the tech scene is one where China’s dominance is undeniable, it went 'China can’t make anything > China can only copy > China must be stealing to get ahead > We have to stop China from innovating"

Even my tech bro workmates recognise that efforts to hold things like DeepSeek and TikTok back are geopolitically motivated

When Xi Jinping hit me up on Path of Exile (Tencent game) and said he’d give me money if I posted positive things about China I really started to see the guy in a brighter light.

For me it’s been watching their insane infrastructure growth both in China and in Africa. They’re actually improving the world while usa just privatizes it in order to just improve it for the few.
