Honda’s electric output here in Europe is close to nothing and what there is is dreadful. The little Honda E was cute but not very practical and far too expensive.
And here’s someone who hasn’t heard of BYD yet
IC engines and drivetrains, Honda is probably best on the planet. An ICE Honda if maintained can basically run forever (and if you replace other wear items). BYD is amazing and the future, though, yes.

In the West they’d come up with some terrible meaningless name like Stellantis, but Japan has names like Bandai Namco, Sega Sammy Holdings and Square Enix, so Honda Nissan might be a possibility.

Mergers are rarely if ever a blending of two equals. Big fish eats little fish. On the rare occasion that a merger tries to preserve the hierarchy, culture, etc of each of the firms it usually ends disastrously.
