I like this approach. Something I’ve thought of at times is just turning the table on western propaganda - they’re pushing a narrative, what if you push with them to the point that either a) it is exposed as over the top bullshit or b) people start over-believing and it becomes a problem. Consider one of my acquaintances who thought that the Ukraine war was bullshit because Zelenskieyieiy was appearing in 40 magazines per week. Or, in the cases of Qanon, Blueanon etc., pushing with them just causes more problems for the west because this propaganda relies on an X% of believers. Too much or too little won’t do.
The video Kirsten and Kristos made about their time in West Papua is really good too. It’s linked in the description of the boy boy vid. It isn’t a very light hearted video and made me tear up several times but definitely worth watching.
This reminds me of a fantastic documentary called Coconut Revolution about the nearby revolution in Bougainville
