games are supposed to be fot everyone and a thing to unite people no matter what they think politically

    1. Uh, its a game bro.

    2. its a true demonstration of privilege when you can concieve of politics as something that is minor, unimportant, and unimpactful but games are a transcendent and uniting, meaningful force in the world.

If your political sensibilities can be hurt by a game, but not by the world around you, you are a complete frothingfash

games are supposed to be for everyone

games (collective term) ARE for everyone, no one individual game appeals to literally everyone no matter how good or “”“”“apolitical”“”“” it is, that’s why we have lots of them

don’t like this one there’s the door get-out

Says who? Hideo Games, CEO of Video Games?

If you make a game just for a single group of people that cuts off a bunch of potential customers that wont want to support the game or your company

Capitalistically speaking, yes. But does Successful Economics Businessman not realize studios hire teams of marketers, psychologists, researchers, consultants, etc. to maximize profits while minimizing risks when taking on potentially risky products?

It’s such a childish view of the world. A child would be forgiven for having such view. An adult should get socked across the face

These people will get mad if you say video games aren’t art. They want it to be called art and held to the level of esteem as art but want all the art stripped out and for it be immune from the exact same critiques all art gets.

At this point, yk what… someone please, just make a geopolitical game that has you play fictional anti-imperialist, if not socialist states, where its plot basically rails against issues like unequal exchange, compradors and reactionary-minded gusanos, and supports an ideology of critical support and siege socialism…

Pretty sure most gamers aren’t full out NAFO failers or Hasbara-butts. Is this ‘non-political’ for them?

Of course, don’t say anything that relates to modern politics, but merely hint a bit it, gamer brains are too smooth to notice all of them to put 2 and 2…

Maybe it could just an FPS whose politics is the antithesis of Call of Duty…

ok so by g*mer logic you can’t have politics in your game because it alienates people that otherwise might’ve enjoyed the game… but also you can’t have accessibility options because it’s getting in the way of the author’s intentions? lmao

These dipshits’ ideas of “political” is literally anything that’s different from cishet white male. Crying about how games are supposed to be for everyone but as soon as it’s something inclusive for everyone it’s now “woke mind virus”.
