I must share that Emmanuel Todd, who foresaw the dissolution of the USSR in the 70’s has predicted the ‘defeat of the west’ and the dissolution of NATO after losing the war in Ukraine.

    less of a collapse and more of a shedding of the democratic facade methinks, sorta like the roman republic becoming the roman empire and then lasting for another 500 years maybe idk

      That’s certainly what a faction of powerful conservatives are thinking. As much as historians are correct that USA is not Rome, its political class has always wanted it to be like Rome.
