didn’t most people like the first two BL games and the pre-sequel/tiny tina? that was always my impression i got. i played the first 3, i thought they were fun gameplay wise and the characters were at least attempting to be entertaining.
yeah the first two are well-regarded because people played them with friends in college. the writing in 3 is way worse somehow also we’re not in college anymore.
i didnt have friends or go to college so i’m not sure that’s the only reason people liked them lol. but yeah i do recall 3 being actively disliked. i wasn’t super into the first two myself and thought it was okay but a step down from the previous ones
yeah other people like it besides college educated 35-40 year olds but borderlands as a zeitgeist game is very middle-millennial because of that social context.
oh its definitely middle-millennial, no argument there. it’s also cringe. i don’t wanna sound like i’m defending the series too much. i just passively somewhat enjoyed the first 3 even tho they had their faults and made me cringe. im by no means a BL enjoyer.
eh, the first game is mechanically interesting and there’s some good writing in 2. unfortunately randy pitchford exists and doesn’t eat at medieval times anymore.
Only if you own a SSD
(I actually liked borderlands 2)
sometimes its okay to say nothing (im kidding, kind of)
