    There are like, 3 neighborhoods in the United States that are like, actually dangerous to walk around. Everywhere else just don’t leave your bike unlocked and don’t leave valuables in your car.

    In fact, many “bad neighborhoods” are actually significantly safer to walk around than “good neighborhoods” because you’re less likely to get hit by a fucking car when you’re walking in a poor urban area than an expensive suburb with no sidewalks.
