Sega everyone already owns your 50 re-releases of the same megadrive games like just stop
“We’re releasing new entries in several beloved but dormant franchises in the next couple of years, should we discount those classic games to get as many people as interested as possible in buying the new ones when they release?”
“We could… or, we could pull all those titles from eshops, and instead offer them behind a subscription service paywall to a populace already burnt out on subscription services.”
“Genius, sir.”
Most Sega games kind of suck though so if you didn’t post this no one would notice and their steady decline would simply accelerate.
In other words, they’re not good enough to suck this much.
come and take it.
consider piracy-like game downloading
They tried this shit in the 90s. How well did that work for you, Sega?
Oh yeah, Sega Channel
I remember six year old me trying to convince my parents about the internet so I could play Mega Man: The Wily Wars
I want to ask Sega how the SUPERGAME initiative is going. Massively multiplayer Crazy Taxi, right? That new Jet Set Radio is a crime against decency. They got mogged by Bomb Rush Cyberfunk honestly and fuck em.
I dunno how anyone can be truly mad at Sega anymore though. They’re bastards, but they’ve been disappointing since the Sega Sammy merger and internal shakeups around 2005. The “Dreamcast Collection” was awful, they’ve never moved past selling the same Mega Drive games over and over, (hint, Saturn emulator takes effort to make) they’ve been sitting on a ton of dead games. Unserious publisher, so even though I can’t really get mad at them anymore I feel like they’ve always been underrated as a shit company, compared to the Ubisofts or Capcoms or EAs.
And this is why I pirate all of my games
Okay well now Sega has joined Nintendo in sucking major shit.
Now?

You are delightful hyrax, don’t listen to them
Btw, is Sonic X Shadow generations even good? I liked the original sonic generations, but my thoughts after watching the trailer were mixed
Here’s a post on it by Stephanie Fucking Sterling Son. This reviewer seemed to enjoy it for the most part at least.
