I assumed it was just “hire more LGBTQIA+ prison guards!”
It’s worse than that. What I’ve seen recently because of federation is “(verbal performative) support for disadvantaged people as long as they maintain a successful small business in a disadvantaged area for no less than three years and aren’t anywhere to the left of Bernie Sanders!”

Kindly,
Shut the FUCK up.
I’m so sick and tired of you MAGAts pretending to be communists, clogging my feed with your bullshit. I block one Hexbear community, another one pops up. How do I block this entire fucking instance? Trump LOST. GET OVER IT.
Reddit-brained liberals try to compose sentences without passive-aggressive sarcastic openers challenge. Difficulty level: Reddit.
Go check their history:
“I’ve been trying to block this community of [r word] cause I keep coming here by mistake, but I can’t find the option in Voyager. I keep falling for these stupid troll posts. I mean, people are actually trying to convince me that apartments are better.”
Driverless cars are better than meatbag cars acktually
“I agree. NFTs are stupid in their current state, but once VR becomes more immersive, more affordable, and less cumbersome, suddenly they’ll start making a lot more sence.”

Unhinged suburbanite threatening an even more unhinged suburbanite
When I talk about bazinga brains, this is the kind of post I want to have listed as a dictionary example of the term.
The idea of enforcing scarcity onto inherently nonscarce digital “goods” is one of the purest expressions of capitalist brainworms
The cryptogrifters assume that their internet funny money will automatically sell and build castles in the sky by planning for how to exploit that automatic success and enshittify it before it even exists.
In my more conspiracy-brained moments, I sometimes think NFTs are a plot to get people to accept DRM by buying into it in the same way homeownership got people to buy into capitalism in the US and UK.
I mean homes at least have use value but for people who don’t know what that is I see your point
The goal was to tokenize everything instead of having privacy.
“Web3” has been a long rancid wet fart so far.
This one gets around a lot for some reason, and even evidence to the contrary is “this will only make the bazingamobiles better, one death at a time!”
Guess what’s actually cool, safe, and easy to make driverless? Trains.
Techbros crave Rube Goldberg style tech solutions to solved problems because the Rube Goldberg style tech solutions can make them richer and sound more le epic.
Also they hate other people, particularly those with less money or more melanin than themselves, and are loathe to share a room with them.
They’d rather fantasize about escaping into space to get away from the poors and other undesirables.
I would never get into the contraption.
omg let me into TheContrption™ please please please I will pay for it
that last one is just terrifying
are Americans okay?
no
If you guys aren’t Trump supporters, then why do you hate on liberals so much, and only liberals? It’s always “liberal this, liberal that”. You claim to be Marxists, yet you never say shit about the rise of Fascism in America. Where are the “Republicans this, Republicans that” posts? I’m not falling for your BS.
Hell, why am I even wasting my time on you people? Your kind is mad at the Barbie movie FFS. Fucking Barbie. Give me a break.
Republicans are liberals lmao
Hey, did you know that Republicans are, in fact, liberals? When we dunk on liberals, we don’t mean “people with progressive social views,” we have more progressive social views than the overwhelming majority of so-called Liberals. We are primarily referring to economic liberalism, the ideology which upholds and advances capitalism. Occasionally, we are expressing frustration with neoliberals, the current ruling ideology which has subsumed politics in the west and encompasses both the Democrats and Republicans.
Not like “people with progressive social views” dont harbor horrendous views because they havent completely shaken out things like racism, classism, or homophobia because getting that far means they’ll leave the warmth and comfort of their baby ideology they’ve known for so long and finally notice the bodies their comforts were built on top of
Indeed. I’ve edited slightly to clarify further on this.
Isnt it funny how people are surprised by that? They think only 2-3 things about society and power have to change, then everything is perfect.
Conservatives are liberals. Liberals are liberals. Libertarians are liberals. Neoliberals are liberals.
Liberalism has a storied, specific history. It is essentially support for capitalism combined with a set of other policies.
The modern, politico shorthand liberal/conservative dichotomy is an oversimplification, represents a split in opinions among liberals, and demonstrates the the narrowness of the Overton window, although “conservatives” can often lean toward fascism and democratic socialists are sometimes lumped in as “liberals” as well. Hell, right wingers call communism liberalism. That doesn’t make it true.
This instance is constantly talking about the rise of fascism. However, like much of leftist thought, many believe that the ineptitude of capitalist, liberal parties and their policies, especially when they are positioned as “leftist”, actually help give rise to fascism.
For example, the modern dominant strain is neoliberalism, which was actually first made popular by Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Alan Greenspan. However, neoliberlism has been continued by Clinton, Obama, and Biden. See the rise and support of charter schools in Democrat led cities, NAFTA, etc.
The rise of neoliberalism has coincided with the death of unionism and the stark increase in inequality since the 70s in e the US.
Also, most liberals, like conservatives, are opposed to socialism, which is seen by leftists as the most definitive obstacle to fascism. See the 2020 Democratic primary where all but Bernie Sanders were eager and quick to reaffirm their support and belief in capitalism and attempted to smear Sanders for his socialist beliefs.
This is also a safe space for leftists, and leftists are often most frustrated with modern “liberals” as you know them (i.e. Democrats, Blairite Labour, etc) because while they should ostensibly be allies in many situations, they are often the biggest obstacle in our way, demanding we stand down and acquiesce to capitalist policies, and talk down to us smugly and condescendingly.
We already all know we detest fascists and “conservatives” and Republicans. We vent about them too. But “liberals” often get our ire in our spaces because of the above.
That doesn’t mean we work toward conservative goals.
Donald Trump is a liberal
You coming in her and making that accusation to begin with demonstrates just how remarkably ignorant you are.
Liberal doesn’t mean what you think it means to most of the world. Sure, in the United States, lots of ignorant people like you bought into the “conservatives vs liberals” propaganda, but that’s really part of liberalism: ignorance pretending to be knowledge.
we talk about this all the time wtf are you talking about
America has been fascist - I’d recommend the book “Blood in my Eye” by George Jackson for an explanation of how the US is fascist. Republicans and Democrats are both liberals.
Also, I loved Barbie, lmao.
are you trolling? hating on right-wingers is like the main thing we do. when we hate on liberals it’s because they’re too right-wing and not progressive enough.
we literally screened the barbie movie on our site lmao. why would you assume we were mad at it? it was pretty good
Conservatives tell you what they’re about. Nothing about what they’ve done should surprise anyone. What makes liberals dangerous is how disingenuous they are.
Also who’s mad at barbie around here?
Find me the post on Hexbear complaining about Barbie please
Edit: I found one, I’ll give you this
There was a struggle session between BWAAAAM slop enjoyers and Barbie slop enjoyers.
I lightly criticised it for what felt like casual homophobia and an accidental pro-voter disenfranchisement message.
If you view any possible critique as complaining that would technically be one post.
I had the same thoughts about the Kens, that was a good read through
Thank you.
My beautiful fellow worshipper of Christ, America was always a fascist state!
What are you on about lmao Ken is Literally Me, how dare you

a new copy pasta is born
I really think we’re constantly saying shit about it. If you need more material, I like this video by Second Thought: Why American Fascism is on the Rise. Yes, the Republicans are openly fascist and bigoted, and we don’t support them.
It is true, weird conservatives were really mad at the Barbie movie. So you made this point because you already convinced yourself a priori that we were MAGA Trump guys, I guess. But … we’re just not, and I can’t make that any clearer. You’ll probably find most people here that watched it thought the movie was really fun.
Trump supporters are a mixture of liberals and fascists. Liberals are people who support neoliberal economics, like most democratic and republican politicians.
The fact that we don’t do “le Cheeto mosquito Mussolini has tiny hands and IS GAY, he’s definitely going to jail! And he’s going to be abused in there lol” doesn’t mean we’re trump supporters.
To most users here, there is no difference between Trump and Biden they are about equally reprehensible. Trump highlighted how the people voting for Dems don’t actually give a shit about what is done, as long as the person doing it wears a suit and tones down their slurs a little bit. Trump highlighted how absurd the whole system is.
Users on this site are sick of the whole system, they think it’s rotten, but there’s also an attitude of powerlessness - to an extent. Since we can’t make America balkanize immediately, we can either choose to laugh or cry at the absurdity. That’s also why you’ll se discussions of Trump being incarcerated not taken seriously - we know it’s never going to happen.
That’s also why there’s an extent of giddiness that Ron Desantis is losing - He had the backing of the media apparatus for quite some time, despite being a clear-cut fascist.
We barely do anything else, you just don’t want to see it because it would challenge your incredibly narrow worldview. Easier for you to sling baseless accusations around than to do some self crit.
Republicans are liberals you dolt. If you wanna engage in discussions of politics, please acquire a base-level understanding of what the terms you use mean.
Find me one (1) post here on this site being mad that Barbie is woke or whatever.
Mate. You’re fucking dumb.
hahahaha I’ll actually try to explain this. As many people have explained we consider both conservatives and liberals “liberals” for a number of historical and political reasons. So we just complain about “libs” and it’s really just referring to, pretty much everyone in the political landscape who’s not a socialist. We especially like when chuds stumble upon our site and try to make some epic “trigger the libs” post, and we just call them a liberal until they throw a temper tantrum about how they’re not.
There is a bit of confusion I guess because many of us are Americans and so will switch between using that liberal/conservative American political dichotomy, where liberal refers to social progressives and conservative refers to social conservatives, and using “liberal” in it’s more historical and political sense, pretty frequently. It’s really just context I guess.
The rise of fascism in America is extremely concerning for us, but because our culture came out of the so-called “dirtbag left” of 2016 we tend to be pretty irreverent about most things. We also consider liberals (yes, liberals in your sense of the word, referring to Democrats and other non-socialist social progressives) to be complicit in the rise of fascism due to their focus on things like bipartisanship and compromise. We don’t believe there can be any compromise with fascists and believe they should be opposed everywhere they pop up, so usually won’t give any praise to Democrats who seem content to sit back and talk about “bipartisanship” while, as you say, fascism rises. That’s getting into it a little without going on too much. There’s more, like how both parties are bourgeois parties and so there is little difference between them which is also why we won’t praise liberals (again, your sense).
Also, the only people who got mad about Barbie here were people who decried it as an elaborate toy commercial, and there was actually a lot of praise for the movie on our site.
edit: I think you also have to understand that most of the people on Lemmy that we disagree with right now are liberals, there’s not a whole lot of chuds, which is why we’re so extremely focused on liberals. Many of us also thought we were going to federate and finally be posting together with fellow travelers, like the folks over at lemmygrad, but then the reddit exodus happened and Lemmy became saturated with Reddit liberalism, so we’re also focused on liberals because of that.
I think the general sentiment about Barbie here was pretty positive actually, even if it was often accompanied with critique of where its feminism fell a bit flat
Bruv there are thousands of liberal politicians, I don’t have time to personally condemn them all. Also I’m pretty sure the fascism in the Americas is like the main thing we talk about.

The US has always been a horrid settler colonial/imperialist hellhole, but I think it’s a step too far to say that the US has always been fascist, or even ever has been, only because fascism is best viewed as a reaction to a powerful revolutionary left wing movement, and we’ve arguably never really had one of those in the US. Even at the height of the US left’s power and legitimacy, I don’t think you can really say it was in a position to seriously challenge capital.
But then again, fascism has always been a concept whose terms are a bit tricky to pin down, so this disagreement could very well just be a me problem.
Hey buddy, don’t pop your butt. It’s just words on the computer.
Ever heard the term “liberal democracy” those are the liberals we are taking about.
“relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.”
Republicans are liberals. democrats are liberals.
In the future if you find yourself confused look up the meaning of a word instead of thinking you know what it means.
Also I never saw anyone say anything bad about the barbie movie in this community.
Fascism is just the next step from liberalism, you’re playing for the same team
Also Barbie was a banger, you should have seen my nails
Republicans are liberals. Don’t get mad at us because you can’t be fucked to pick up a book and learn things.
Tell me you don’t understand any political system past the two flavors of cable news without saying it explicitly challenge

Why do you think we’re secretly maga chuds? I genuinely don’t understand, especially if you’ve seen a lot of posts from here.
Their brain is too smooth to consider anything outside the binary, red vs blue politics on their teevee
Lol when has anyone here ever said anything positive about Trump
We do say that he is funny
our big wet boy do be funny tbh
is top tier comedy
He also has that dump truck
I like how he showed the world how pathetic the USA is at nation building by giving up on Afghanistan.
??? There’s plenty of things to complain about with Hexbear from a liberal perspective, but I’ve never seen anybody here claim that Trump actually won the election; we don’t really give a shit about elections in the first place. Where have you seen anything that gave you the impression that we’re hardcore Trump MAGA posters cosplaying as communists?

Lmfao this has to be a bit, its too good
Lurk more here? You seem very confused atm
Post hog chud
Is this a bit?
More people died of covid under Biden, kids are still in cages, more wars have been started, women’s rights have been limited, LGBTQ+ are more threatened, we’re still dronestriking, the military budget has increased, the climate is only getting worse and nothing is being done.
If you support Biden, even critically, then you are much closer to being a Trump supporter than anyone here.
The only thing that makes you dislike trump is the fact that he looks kinda goofy in a suit and that he doesn’t talk like a state dep ghoul.
he is not allowed to think about these things , his god is a god of repetition… dont scare him with reality
Dronies only know how to regurgitate the heritage foundation, hate orange chip man, and lie
Liberals are to god damn binary for their own good…
Enbies stay winning
You make a good point but have you considered Kindly, Shut the FUCK up. I’m so sick and tired of you MAGAts pretending to be communists, clogging my feed with your bullshit. I block one Hexbear community, another one pops up. How do I block this entire fucking instance? Trump LOST. GET OVER IT.

Fuck Joe Brandon
Sorry, but this is a Kamala Harris fan club
Trumps going to win against incumbent corpse Biden and nothing will fundamentally change
😍 That’s my president 😍
A spectre is haunting the liberals minds rent free
You can shut the fuck up, dumbass. I’m sorry that you’re such a crank that you think criticizing liberal bullshit makes people pro-Trump, but the liberals are fucking garbage. Liberals are a part of moving the US to the right, not a bulwark against it.
EDIT: I’ll remind you that the democrats literally helped Trump win the first time, with their dumbass “pied piper” strategy, and continue to use that strategy with far-right extremists in elections:
