Here’s Bernie not saying the word “genocide”

I strongly disagree with Mr. Biden on the question of U.S. support for Israel’s horrific war against the Palestinian people. The United States should not provide Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing extremist government with another nickel as it continues to create one of the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history.

. . .

Supporters of Mr. Biden can speak proudly about a good and decent Democratic president

who is committing genocide

with a record of real accomplishment.

. . . of committing genocide

. . .

We battled to defend women’s rights in the face of moves by Trump-appointed jurists to roll back reproductive freedom and deny women the right to control their own bodies.

Battled and lost, and in such a way as to make the “battle” part seem implausible

. . .

So, yes, Mr. Biden has a record to run on.

of committing genocide

. . .

This election offers a stark choice on issue after issue.

except on genocide, where the candidates are united

If Mr. Biden and his supporters focus on these issues — and refuse to be divided and distracted — the president will rally working families to his side in the industrial Midwest swing states and elsewhere and win the November election. And let me say this as emphatically as I can: For the sake of our kids and future generations, he must win.

But not for Palestinian kids and future generations. Fuck them, I guess.

hesitation-2 thank you Bernie for crushing the last bit of lib electoralism in my brain over the last few years. Between how he was treated in 2016 and his behavior since every last bit of hope that we could make even a little change by voting has been crushed. Social democracy is the moderate wing of fascism, and they will murder Rosa every time.

Bernie, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, they’re all steadfastly supporting Biden, when now would be the easiest time for someone to publicly say that they think he should step down.

So, am I missing something? As in, have they all made a calculation that Biden is less bad compared to a Kamala Harris / Gavin Newsom etc?

Or am I over thinking it? I was mulling this over last night.

Political strategy made by babies for other babies. They simply think its best to not leave any room for the dems to blame the “left”. Its a win-win. if Biden remains they’ll earn some cheap pol capital by keeping their record as good faithful little babies and if he drops out they wont be blamed for it.

This is of course best case scenario and giving them the benefit of doubt. It may just be they’re all mostly coward fucks dropping the mask, in Bernie’s case I doubt he needs much incentive or strategizing to side with his “friend” Joe.

I feel like this is more about self preservation. AOC in particular has gradually been shifting to more ‘acceptable’ positions over the years, and I feel like if you’re not willing to actually make a stand here, about a genocidal loon that is getting lampooned by the press from all sides, you’re never going to do so.

That must be it. And/or that Biden could owe the loyal progressives something, where as they’d be totally lost with another candidate. And/or that they avoid associating themselves/their policy commitments with this shit show.

AoCIA introduced articles of impeachment on justice Thomas and Alito. They think they can scream about the non possibility of replacing 2 supreme court justices before November in a Republican house. Cover up the genocide. Gaslight the public. Score shitlib points by not holding their own party accountable.

God, even the most hardcore libs I know are on the “Biden must go” train now.

Bernie is such a fucking weenie he would’ve rolled over on every single issue if he ever had gotten the presidency.

Isn’t he an independent? He’s not running for president again, he doesn’t need the approval of the democrats. What’s even the point in towing the line? What a cowardly sack of shit

After 2016 and 2020 Sanders was probably the only person in the last 100 years that could have built an independent working class party/movement around himself that might have had the power to fracture capital’s stranglehold on the electoral system. To throw that away to openly support Biden at this moment is beyond pathetic.
