Silo started out pretty good for me, but lost steam about halfway through.

40 is fine. You can stream HD content with that. Unless you’re downloading a lot of big files, speed is highly over rated. It’s more important to be reliable. I’d rather pay $19 for 40 than $70 for 500.
No problem. Be aware that they take their cut of the projected savings up front. At first it might not seem like a good deal, but it is over the long haul. I’ve been using them for about 3 or 4 years now and it adds up. Plus it feels good sticking it to the ISP for their shady practices and constant rate raising. And you don’t have to do any of the work.
Southern California
$54.99 for 500Mbps down and 25Mbps up
That’s with Spectrum being my only option. I use BillShark to renegotiate every year, so I’m not sure what it would be normally
Holy smokes. Got sucked into that one. So is she still the only one that can crack Denuvo? You mentioned 2, is the other not very active or something?
I’d even say that going to the theater sucks balls. The picture and sound quality usually sucks compared to a high quality download on a 75" 4k TV. Even a high bit rate 1080p video looks better than the theater.
People are hesitant to recommend good providers. If they have one that works well for them and that isn’t well known, they don’t want anyone messing it up. Some providers don’t even want people using their name on forums. For good reason too. Just need to look at what the YouTube gonads didn’t with the whole -Kodi streaming box free TV videos plastered all over YouTube. Made it way too easy for The Man to track down who the providers were and bust them.
Doesn’t looks like this is available for Linux? I have older hardware running Mint that this would be perfect for. Am I just missing it?
Early GenXer here. Am the same way. Have always hated ads in any form. Except maybe print ads. Especially in the old days in mags like Electronic Fun & Games or something. Even targeted ads are useless to me. If there’s something I’m interested in, I’ll search it out and find what I need. I don’t need some company scraping my data and telling me what I want. I run a Pihole, use ad blockers and YouTube specific apps to block ads and always will
The “download complete” Godzilla roar using the GoZilla! download manager. And using WinAmp to play my newly downloaded mp3’s.
Trying to sign up and it’s timing out
I did this with my old router and as others have said it effectively cuts throughput in half. Depending on your usage though it might not be a big deal. I only connected mine so I could get a signal in the front yard. It’s fine for surfing the web or watching YouTube
