I owned the second gen and liked it. even with the 1.6L it was only “underpowered” if you do most of your driving on 70mph freeways, with the 2.0 or the V6 it would have been downright quick. even had the mount points and wiring loom for towing small trailers which was super convenient. Great in the snow (not great in the salt tho, most of them are gone now due to rust in the northern half of the US, and there were some big recalls in canada)
In all sincerity, I didn’t, but my cousin did and so did one of my managers at work when I was younger. They both liked them, but I can see how they probably were very inconsistent.

I did. They were garbage. Underpowered. Inadequate braking. Rollover issues so bad they were removed from the NA market. Drivetrain problems.
They sucked, dude.
