Speaking at the paper’s launch, Bridenstine believed it was important to create communication channels, noting that Nasa was not allowed to directly engage with its Chinese counterpart without congressional approval.

Critical support for the US govt. ostracizing itself for sinophobic and anti-communist attitudes held by geriatric white supremacists and genocide enjoyers.

The US should be banned from the international space field. All they think about is colonization and atrocity. China is much better suited for coordinating space expeditions with other nations.

I don’t know if this is suppossed to be a meta-commentary/joke or not. I never said both of those things.

China is more suited for space coordination because of its productive capacity and cooperation with other nations. China will not seek to “own” outer space but to instead integrate space travel as a way to benefit itself and the world. China can care for its citizens, the US is quickly losing the ability/will to do so.

Why not try to reflect on the fact that the US only cares about space travel when China seems to overtake them ever so slightly?

I don’t care what you really feel about China, but to interpret my support for China leading the space field as ignorance is just projection.

Can we apply this methodology of Chinas in how they treat their neighbors, and “wont seek to “own” outer-space” and do so at the benefit of the world and compare it to how they treat Taiwan, Hong Kong, and international waters? Oh to shreds you say?

Taiwan and Hong Kong were ripped away from China by European colonists, you ignoramus. Hong Kong was occupied as a British colony after the British dominated China during the Opium Wars, you know, that century that started when China decided to ban opium since the Europeans had gotten 60% of the Chinese population addicted and Britain decided to run gun boats through the coast terrorizing and destroying until they sacked the capital, stole and destroyed priceless history, and then forced the Chinese at gun point to re-legalize the drug AND grant ALL Europeans immunity from Chinese law within the 5 major ports?

Taiwan was the last theater of the Chinese civil war until the British and US navies intervened to protect the KMT and their favored comprador, Chiang Kai Shek. They wanted to ensure another Chinese army could go back and take over from the communists eventually so they protected, funded, and armed the KMT while it prosecuted the White Terror for 40 years, killing hundreds of thousands of political dissidents and indigenous Taiwanese.

Returning Hong Kong and Taiwan to their integrated status with China is DECOLONIZATION

No, you can’t give context. China bad! /s

On a serious note, reading a while back about what happened during the opium wars was horrendous. And also finding out that South Korea was governed by murderous fascists until very fairly recently, while the US was supporting the South Korean regime was also an eye opener to me.

The “governed by murderous fascists until very fairly recently” mirrors Taiwan’s timeline as well.

No one in the region considers the South China Sea to be international waters.

Everyone just disputes who’s waters they should be. Don’t talk about things you know nothing about.

Is China shipping billions of dollars in weapons to Israel as they, in 3 months, have dwarfed Ukrainian civilian casualties over 2 years? No? Well…

Did China instigate a coup of Pakistan’s democratically-elected leader? No?

Is China the only country voting against the Right to Food pursuant to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 25)? No?

            Hm.

China will not seek to “own” outer space

Let’s see China get out of other nations’ ocean space first and then we can talk about outer space.

LOL, when was the last time you saw a Chinese ship near Hawaii let alone California? If you want to measure intent by naval presence, you’re just going to make the opposite point you intended
