I wonder what goes through the head of a journalist like this? How do they write something like this? Actively trying to defend a pedophile in the most slimy, weaselly way possible. Did they finish their article and down an entire bottle of rum when they got home? Did they sob hysterically and resolve to quit their job? Will they ever be able to make eye contact with a mirror after this? Who am I kidding, the person who wrote this is probably an absolutely reprehensible person completely lacking any empathy for others. It’s from a right wing british tabloid media. Chances are the journalist in question is also a either a pedo or at least friends with a couple of them. British right wing journalism is filled with people who also went to Eton and other schools with rampant sex-abuse, so I assume the journalist is completely fine with writing this kind of drivel.

I read it more like “look how sad this pedo is, he won’t get real justice. But he’s self imprisoning trust me”
