Japan and South Korea will have no choice, they are american bases. They will be targeted and dragged in if any large scale conflict occurs purely because those bases can’t be left unchecked.
These won’t be the sides of ww3 because the bottom line won’t start a war if it’s against that lineup, they know they’d lose it.
