    Beautiful! I love the clash between old and new, i’d love to see something really futuristic-looking with wood on it.

      and while not exactly wood, I feel like bakelite also brings a similar vibe (and it’s actually decently old, going back to the 1910s), and there’s a bunch of cool-looking Soviet prototypes making extensive use of it:

    God I love the look of wooden furniture, plastic/polymer/etc just doesn’t look as nice

    Also gotta chamber it in .50 Beowulf and carve “ARRÊT!” on the stock

        i forget the exact story behind (something that looks like) these, there was a m16 replica made in the Philippines in .22 because i guess people fetishize the vietnam loser gun and that might’ve had the incorrect markings on it, somebody asked for one with wood furniture for whatever reason, and then pictures got posted online because it’s funny.

        but people also just do A2s in wood sometimes.
