      Agreed. I mean idk, maybe Western European countries like UK/France/Germany could cozy up to Russia in a decade - especially if at some point Putin is succeeded and libs can decide it’s all water under the bridge.

      But many countries like the Baltics, Finland, Ukraine, and Poland will not tolerate ties with Russia for at least a generation. If the power players in EU decide that they want to be friends with Russia again, it could likely cost the departure of several EU member states. Maybe. Point is, Europe is far from uniform in its feelings toward Russia.
