What are some cool tactical shooters? I know that Linux has some good shooters like Xonotic, but I would like something more tactical like Arma, Rainbow Six Siege or CS:GO. It doesnt have to be open source altho this is a big plus. I know about AssaultCube and Urban Terror, but they seem unmaintained/dead.
Are you specifically looking for shooters that run on Linux? Escape from Tarkov and BattleBit are probably my two favorite tactical shooters at the moment, but Tarkov definitely doesn’t run on Linux and I’m unsure about battlebit.
Battlebit works, but they have announced they are switching to FAC in the coming months, and that doesn’t support Linux.
I haven’t actually tried this myself but there is a lutris script for tarkov https://lutris.net/games/escape-from-tarkov/
Doesn’t work, and I couldn’t get it working with the single player tarkov either.
AFAIK, the game will boot but the BattlEye anticheat (or lack thereof) will prevent you from actually joining an online raid. And the offline raids don’t allow for any progression. You might be able to play the Single player mod of Tarkov with this though.
