One time the light turned green and the car in front of me didn’t go so I waited and then the light turned red and they sped through it.

I give you about 3 seconds. Then you’re getting the horn because you were on your phone at the light like a jackass.

I mean seriously, it’s not a big ask to not use your phone while you’re driving.

It’s also the same one that during the red light kept creeping forward like they were at a drag race starting line. Light goes green…nothing. I thought you were in a hurry?

Doesn’t everyone else watch the traffic flow of the other lights, the crosswalks, all the other signs something is about to change? I guess not.

Exactly. Know what’s going on around you.

I still tend to wait a couple seconds as I double check some other doofus isn’t running the red.

And the other time I thought to myself - hey, let’s be nice! And so I was nice. The driver in the car in front kept reading whatever he was reading on his bloody phone and nobody moved till next light :)

If I were behind you I would have honked at you for not honking at them.

If I was behind the car that’s behind you and they aren’t honking at you for not honking at the person in front of you, I would then honk at the person behind you.

There’s nothing wrong with a honk to get someone’s attention when they should be driving.

I’ve had that happen, usually there’s a pedestrian or something they don’t see, or my favorite, a no right on red sign. But they’ll blast their horn away

A few years ago my GF was driving with me and we were leaving college and you can take a right on red but it’s in a weird spot so between trees and oncoming traffic coming up form a hill it’s pretty much a blind turn

Anyways the car behind us starts honking because the roads been clear for maybe 10 seconds (spoiler alert: it’s clear until we get the green) but it’s legal to turn right in right you don’t have to. She didn’t want to go cus it was so hard to see

Bonus point, this guy absolutely blasted off past us in the other lane and promptly speeds by an unmarked cop on the side of the road
