I do use the PaperWM and dash to dock extensions, so it isn’t stock gnome. I normally don’t like extensions or addons but these are well done and it seems like they have staying power.

Interesting! The driving is the worst part of the game for me. I prefer to hoof it or take Jackie’s Arch if its too far to run. The driving feels like captaining a boat, it never reacts how I want it to. Maybe using a controller is part of that,I dunno. The whole entire rest of the game is fine though.
Yeah, this is my take at it as well. Sure, your big beefy PC looks better, but can you play CP2077 at 30,000 feet on a transatlantic flight? Because I have!
Performance could definitely be better. It would be great if the deck could reliably push 720p 60fps all the time, and maybe some day we’ll get there. But for the moment my deck can push most of the games I throw at it to at least 40 fps, and it can hold 45 decently enough, and that’s good enough for me.
I play during lunch at work, when I go shopping with the wife, family holiday when nothing is going on, busses, waiting for Dr. appointments, the train, all kinds of places. My steam deck opened up gaming to me by making it available in small pockets of otherwise unused time.

I played the game at launch and didn’t enjoy it. Got a Steam Deck, learned how to use gyro aiming in a different game and came back to CP2077 a few months ago and… holy shit this game is fantastic. Some of the writing can be a bit jank, and its still a little buggy, but overall, really enjoyable game.
You can’t do all of those in a week; at least, not in any kind of meaningful way.
Boston and NYC are kind of cool. D.C. is definitely a city, but has some cool museums.

You can use Amtrak to get between Boston and DC, (Including New Haven, and NYC). D.C has a metro, NYC has an expansive subway. New Haven (and CT in general) have only just started focusing on public transportation.
