Woohoo.
So, this is it, right? Unless some sort of genuine miracle happens, we now have a head of the FDA who thinks vaccines shouldn’t be used at all and will likely attempt to curb their use and possibly even ban them, and we have a new confirmed infectious and dangerous virus spreading in our population. How does this end in anything except an outright coup of the government to reinstate actual health policies, or the death of the majority of the country?
Didn’t the Black Plague kill enough people to change how names worked? How would this unchecked plague be any different?
How would the US war machine function if based in a country with a population of 110 people?
teehee another cute lil pandemic for us
In related news, the bird flu case in Hawaii wastewater seems to have been from birds:

Me scrolling past these posts on hexbear without paying them too much mind is the equivalent of the start of a zombie movie where the TVs/radios in the background are talking about some strange new virus that makes people act weird.

How long until they blame China
already saw it on reddit. “if this shit takes off you know we cant rely on the chinese to tell the truth”
It’s crazy because China was extremely open when they found out about COVID. Literally the opposite of CIA propaganda. They decoded the genomics or whatever and gave it to everyone.
“Folks, Mao had the right idea killing all the sparrows… very bad birds, not patriotic… but he didn’t go far enough. You know I once had a sparrow outside Trump Tower. Living on the street, nesting in literal garbage, very sad.”
The president-elect then stared into space for 35 seconds and started doing the Elaine dance.
It came from China in 1997. And they’ve successfully kept it somewhat contained, of it mutates to human to human contact, it’s going to be in America. Burger brains will forget everything past that first sentence.

Yeah they’ve been vaccinating their birds for 20 years
I don’t need to look it up… The US hasn’t, I guarantee it.
But at what cost?
