This was aired on TV Tokyo during the 70s as part of a block called Manga no Kuni 『漫画の国』(Kingdom of Manga), which had several Hanna-Barbera cartoons, that all were dubbed into Japanese with names being changed into ones that appealed more to Japanese audiences , as well as having an opening song produced for it, if it lacked one with Japanese lyrics as well.

Most of the shows didn’t do well (from what I understand) with the exception of Wacky Races, which became so popular with Japanese audiences that it began to become a part of Japanese pop culture.
