Sports have degenerated into gambling though, the masses are being addicted and bled dry by algorithms. Not to mention the already horrible alcoholism.
Sports aren’t inherently bad, but under capitalism they certainly are.
that’s a good point in the past few years the gambling has sapped a lot of fun out of it. can’t even talk about sports online without some punter moaning about how their parlay didn’t hit.
