Why the fuck would everyday Russians use dollars in the first place two years after the currency was rendered useless in Russia?

I love how Germans immediately jump to show their ass like their distance from genocide, both morally and temporally, ISN’T three generations max; like they’re not an eagerly-waterbearing vassal to the Amerikan Reich.

All their humblebragging fake contrition about the crimes of that guilty land goes right out the window as soon as the chance to do it all again comes up, then it’s all orcs this and terrorists that. They’re like an alcoholic falling off the wagon. It wouldn’t be quite so ennervating if they weren’t so fucking condescending the rest of the time when they’re not in genocide mode.

It’s like talking to a redditor who’s also a werewolf- I’m not sure which form I hate more but I definitely know they have zero right to be this smug with guts in their teeth.

Holy fuck I love this metaphor, comrade. 10/10 things I need to figure out how to bootstrap into my diction

Germany becoming a vassal state of the US is not really something I saw happening. I know our values align often, but their national personality seems less in line with ours

I blame the rapport that used to exist between that absolute war criminal minstrel Obama and Merkel honestly, that’s when I saw the threads start binding. For all the absolute EARNED mess I talk on Barack, I won’t deny-- he’s one hell of an orator, and he proved people WILL cozy up to a talented orator if his talking benefits you when you’re at his table.

Oh, definitely. I don’t pay a lot of attention to what Germany is up to, but I remember thinking it was weird that they were getting so chummy. Part of me feels like Germany hasn’t been shunned enough yet. There are still people alive that remember WWII. On the other hand, I wish we could move on from the neoliberal era and all get along and sing the internationale together.

germany was less a function of convergent interests (compare the US supporting Anglo-French empire post ww2) and more the direct military occupation, that is still there

Kind of like when two bullies are at odds, then realize they have a common goal. Resource extraction from weaker entities

While electing fascists to majorities in government and universally agreeing it’s not racist to say they’ve gotta get rid of all the Muslims.

West germany was infested with various US fifth columns from the get go, it didn’t get any better over time.
