Me and friends are working on saving for and designing a sustainable and (hopefully) climate proof farming co-op, because we don’t see rational discussion or action ever happening and we aren’t willing to just cook to death and be unprepared.

There were many ‘opinion’ and general trash journalism articles about Obama using the military to have a coup and stay in power or “hand the US over to the UN” (never even figured out wtf that even meant) and Fox has removed all of them from their site. The only evidence of them is responses from other news articles, like the thread that remains after a user deletes their comment.

Overall it’s been pretty good. I mainly needed it to stop the problem of having an Android phone and MacBook, where sometimes texts from iPhone users “slip” to Messenger on my laptop and I don’t see them until I’m at my computer. I cant get it to take over my native Android messages, and it glitches when I get a call on WhatsApp where I have to open WhatsApp manually to answer, but still worth it.

Spending time with friends and watched a thunderstorm roll through a mountain valley last night. I try to really memorize moments like that because when life inevitably slides the other way, those are the things that help me carry on, hoping to be lucky enough for one more of those good days.

I’m saying this in earnest and very much not trying to be rude or edgy, but the fact is a lot of people don’t think about me/you/us at all, they’re reciting things they think are normal to people they aren’t close with like talking about the weather. Realizing some of my relatives I care about don’t actually want to get invested in my life to the point of knowing I’m gay was a very freeing moment. Like understanding my grandma is 95 and doesn’t want to try sushi now. And she was fine learning I married a man, but she wouldn’t have brought it up. Decentralizing yourself from other people and realizing you have much more of a free slate than you think can be very helpful.

Do we know for certain that any of that happened though? Because I haven’t seen any video of actual engagement between Wagner and Russia.

I don’t know why anyone is taking any of this seriously. For all we know, this was done to lure Ukraine into following them into Russia to fall into a set trap, or theater or withdraw and resupply without looking weak. It is odd that it looks like Putin had weakness, but they can always say that’s what it was later and the propaganda will work like it always does.
