I get the BG3 usage of narration due to the DnD setting and DMs narrating the story. Spoon feeding is not acceptable and is insulting to the player. I remember Deus Ex very well along with others like System Shock. The world they put you in can be confusing and unfamiliar at first glance and takes time to get involved in.

Unpopularopinion posting…. what do you normally like to play? I didnt enjoy BG3 either but I didnt care for the other Baldurs Gate games mostly because of the setting and characters.

Good tools are expensive and meant to last a lifetime, maybe more. A cheap tap and die set is a blessing for anodized sheet metal like in a computer case. Cheap materials, cheap tools.

PiHole runs great on older Raspberry Pi’s(I am still using a pi3). Older models are still very easy to get and a readily available from the approved resellers list.

I felt the same way about youtube, streaming, shopping and general browsing: too many ads. Ruins the content. I set up a pi-hole as an experiment to see if it would do what it said and what others said about it. Manage your expectations here. Pi-hole works well for blocking a lot of static information and ads in your browser and a lot of apps on iOS and Android. It does not block video ads on Youtube or Hulu, it does not block ads for Roku or Firestick or Smart TV apps for example, it just does not work because of the technical limitations of how the PiHole software is designed. Using a regular PC with adblock browser extension installed as well gets rid of 99% of ads including video ads from adcdns. PiHole is incredibly easy to setup and install, the pay off in quality of life is enormous. I cannot recommend it more to someone that has a little networking knowledge base. If you can figure out how to port forward and run a handful of command lines you can complete a pihole setup in an hour.

Potatoes absolutely will build up enough internal pressure to pop, even if the skins have been punctured. Not every spud will blow up some just split; when they do it makes a hell of a mess in the oven. I once broke a microwave at work with a potato because it did this. To postulate a reason; some potatoes have a higher moisture content than others.

The chokepoint here would be the networking and RAM. Pi-hole isnt all that resource intensive but does use a bit of the network resources. Kodi, should run along with it but the performace as stated from other posters will leave a lot to be desired. The 2GB of RAM is not going to be powerful enough to do a lot. On the fly encoding for video is going to suffer by RAM, CPU and network output. Its possible to do it but youll definitely have to be patient with it.

Not the Windows Power settings. The AMD software has power savings modes which automagically throttle the cpu either by parking cores or by reducing bus speed or by reducing core processor speeds. Some memory sticks will advertise an XMP profile but different bins will perform differently. The trick to getting an overclock or edging out performance is to maintain stability for as high as your hardware will let you go. Due to the problems you seem to be having and the stability you want, don’t pull your hair out over a few MHz of performance.

If it is stable without the OC software or AMD Ryzen Master running run it without it. Ive noticed problems with AMD cpu/mem combinations and power saving modes that the software/hardware run. Specifically hard locking even when not under load. I suspect that it is a memory interface problem stemming from the OC or power saving if you can tune it out from happening in the software try not using your memory outside of the XMProfile.
