That would give apple a monopoly in the mobile space and Microsoft a monopoly in the search/business app space.
I’m not having another kid but if I did I would do my exact setup still. Audio to wake me up and video to see if a response is needed or if they need to cry it out.
On iPhone, maybe Android too, you click the power button 5 times and you have enter the pin.
Several people on Lemmy and other places recommended ‘A Fire Upon the Deep’ and ‘A Deepness in the Sky’ to me and I plowed through them. Really enjoyable reads with actually unique takes that I haven’t seen in other media even though it’s 30 years old. The aliens feel actually alien but follow a logic which I appreciate. The ‘zones of thought’ is now just forever in my head.
RIP Vernor
Interesting, I’ll look into Gemini.
Do you use this? I’ve been thinking that there has to an underground “internet” that mimics the old web. I was thinking that it would be BBS or something. I haven’t gone down any rabbit hole yet because lemmy has been scratching the itch alright.
Damn lmao
You know I didn’t know the US had a billion people. lol at least that’s what you’d think from all shit talkers online that all obese people are from the US.
Genuinely a brilliant and moving game. Kim Kitsuragi is also my most loved character I’ve ever encountered in any media and it’s not even close.
Ideally, to me, it would be a separate post. But I know on Lemmy an old post isn’t a bad thing and the community isn’t huge so splitting discussions isn’t great.
Is there going to be a discussion post for this or will this post act as that? I’m just about to finish it
I don’t but you should. There’s just cat hair everywhere.
Cause they know the policies are cruel and doing cruel things is easier when others buy in.
Due to how I look and where I work, conservatives constantly assume I am one too. I used to discuss/debate them about their views. I gave that up. Now I just say I disagree so that even if they tell others that everyone that talk to agrees with them, somewhere in the back of the their mind they know that’s not true.
Let this be a lesson to ya, don’t be a never post.
I have premium so maybe that’s a reason. Also, if I watch a video I know YouTube will latch unto them I remove it from my watch history and heavily use not interested option.
I too ignore shorts but I disagree with YouTube’s recommendations. It has gotten significantly better from even 2 years ago. I used to only watch my subscriptions, what I specifically sought out, or links from others. What YouTube recommended me was honestly confusing considering the amount of data they have on me and my interests. Now it’ll actually recommend general content I would watch. But also small YouTubers from the types of content I consistently watch. It’s pretty great.
Yes, probably about 5 times over 20 years and 100s of attempts. I usually try it when annoyed and want to see Windows fail.
Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush, off the top of my head.
