There are a hell of a lot of good examples of how terrible our language is, but that’s nonsense.

I’m not sure if feddit even existed back these days when i created the community. Back at that time I wasn’t aware about any german speaking instance, so I just joined some nice place. Unfortunately, it has fallen asleep somewhat, as I was not able to build up an active community with it in the long term.

Considering the gloating about what’s happening at Reddit, it just made sense to dust it off again and do some advertise :-)

The person can barely be identified. So unlikely this directly shames or affects him.

I’m worried about overweight kids receiving such jokes in their school-chatgroups, not the guy in person.

Now things out of a person’s control (skin color, height, physical abnormalities, etc) should be off the table unless the individual explicitly states otherwise.

There is a significant relationship between the political/economic system a person is in and the prevalence of obesity in a society. What system someone is born into is beyond the control of the individual.

Fatshaming is embarrassing.
