There are a lot of applications for AI that has nothing to do with art and which the average person doesn’t really need to worry about - things like number crushing, boring statistics stuff, etc. It’s just that the bazinga brains over at those corporations felt the need to make it into the hot new trend, even though for most people it’s at best a novelty that you’ll get bored of in a day, and a plagiarism machine at worst.

I think it’s because a lot of them were made by/for children and for the streamers they watch. After PewDiePie and other similar streamers started playing Amnesia and after FNAF became a thing there was just a flood of them, mostly trying to cash in on the trend.

Learning things is good. It’s also good that schools still teach things like that, it’s great that kids have the opportunity to learn a second language, especially if they’re anglophones, since those tend to live in a bubble. Even learning Latin is good, it makes you think about grammar and language itself in ways you wouldn’t otherwise. The way capitalist education is headed they might not teach these things for very long, since they’re “useless”.
