Damn, I see what you’re saying now. I’m almost 30 and I’d say I’m jaded lol but being on the autism spectrum/general brainweirdness means I don’t interpret the world the way most people do and need some help understanding what normal people see. What I would think is common sense or logical or even easy to understand is just not most people’s experience, and vice versa-- what others think are obvious (in social situations especially) don’t even occur to me until someone points it out. I find things out the hard way most of the time. Thanks for clearing things up.
I’d been thinking the title meant trans people are more likely to be poor. And because I’d recently seen a meme about right-wingers blaming LGBTQ people for things, thought this was a good article some of those right-wingers might need to see. Like, look, you can’t blame trans people for your problems because they’re also likely to be poor. But I might be assuming a lot about how things might be interpreted here, because I did not expect all this, lol.
damn i wanna get my weed from yall now
i wouldn’t say it’s entirely unhelpful at this broad of an analysis, because it is important to point out that this is a thing for people who might find it surprising. but i do see what you mean by “the title implies causation when all the study is is a correlation.”
this has been posted a few times now but honestly it can’t be posted enough. will always upvote.
I like OP’s idea but I wonder about the legality of it and how it might be used against BookWyrm by private entities. Interoperability/plugins that act as middle-men + open library seems like the way.
i came because of microsoft paranoia, then stayed for the customization
good to know, i’ll have to check it out
i’m almost full fedi, even left instagram. it’s just discord and youtube that are gonna be hardest to replace for me. been looking at peertube for uploading video game streams but the upload limit…
my bet is one of their bots made this and they don’t even know this ad is out in the wild until someone brings it up
This has been working for me. Sometimes it’s just the country I randomly connected to and need to pick another random one.

It helps to have a meaty subscription list to switch to for when All goes through a meme-y period, but overall I agree and was just thinking of this yesterday actually. Except I was thinking about art and how I used to see more art on the frontpage at Reddit. Would love to see more OC art get hot over here too (in addition to hot topics of course).
we already have this feature on the Tusky app but I’m glad Mastodon is adding it to the native app
lol there’s no redemption
All this time I thought Beehaw was like Kbin in that it communicated with Lemmy instances but wasn’t itself Lemmy. Any way of making this a reality, or maybe that’d be too much of an overhaul at this point?
In my experience it isn’t if it’ll work, it’s if it’ll have enough space for all my music. I still have a couple old iPods, including the original Touch, but I have way more than 16GB worth of music now.
If you just want something simple for your own music with no ads, check out iBroadcast.
I admit I was once one of these.
