Because he did not have the best campaign staff and the Democratic party establishment preferred other candidates. His base was mostly young white people or college students who don’t turn out to vote enough.
I’ve given up on it. While I think it was silly to remove, I’ve come to find it just as silly to be so attached to a cable. Bluetooth and USBC headphones have worked just fine for me.
Very buggy on my Pixel 7 Pro. Sticking with the older version for now
I use Heliboard: https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard
what’s funimation? I have aniwave
That’s not really how it works. It would only make them look stupid if they did that, and increase the risk of being voted out in the next election. Because of the filibuster, legislation generally needs 60 votes in the Senate before it goes to the president. Democrats have 51 seats, with two frequent defectors. Imagine if Biden’s record going into 2024 is that he vetoed every single piece of legislation.
Democrats have a slim majority in the senate, which is not enough to get whatever they want done without compromising, especially considering that two senators are not as left wing as the rest of the party.
As far as war and military spending goes, I agree that the party could do better.
There hasn’t been an election in Gaza since 2007, 16 years ago. Maybe they could have at least tried to have some sort of democratic process in that time? Palestine needs to appeal to the international community for support in negotiating with Israel. I agree Israel has not handled the situation humanley and has not done their best to negotiate peace either. However, Gaza is definitely not going to get anywhere under their current leadership, and this war had no chance of success for them, and their situation does not justify attacking or kidnapping civilians.
What would you do in such a situation
Probably not kidnap and kill civilians from the other side, and not use civilians on my own side of the line as human shields when the other side retaliates, and not murder civilians on my own side of the line to prevent them from escaping, all of which would end up making the whole situation for the people on my own side so much more miserable and violent.
The options are probably to have free and fair elections while conducting peace negotiations with the support of the international community. All of which have been thrown out of the window now in favor of another violent war that will certainly be lost.
The oppressions of Palestinians is horrible and it is Israel’s responsibility to rectify that. However, it does not give justification for Hamas to attack civilians. Hamas must have known what would happen but they went forward with the attack anyways.
Right now I’m just using Cromite on mobile and Firefox on desktop. Not having sync sucks though. No Bitwarden auto fill support on Cromite yet either (though it should be coming soon). I still have FireFox installed on my phone as a backup.
Latinx is a word invented by white Americans to describe people from Latin America. But this is about French people using their own language in a new way.
Are they going to ban LGBT people from the internet like the US is trying to do?
In general, you should use as few as possible.
On FireFox browser, the best privacy extension is uBlock Origin. I wouldn’t use any other extension for ad blocking or privacy unless it is for something specific you need that uBlock Origin cannot do on its own. NoScript is another privacy extension that is sometimes recommended.
There may also be some benefit to using the extension for your password manager, as it may help you identify phishing links and prevent you from filling in your password on fake or scam sites. I strongly recommend Bitwarden as a password manager.
Installing extensions is unlikely to help you defend against fingerprinting. If you are concerned about fingerprinting, then you should enable resist.fingerprint in the about:config on FireFox, or use either Tor or Mullvad Browser (which you should not install any extensions on).
Ultimately you will have to make some concessions in regards to privacy. Most people aren’t going to install Signal just to talk to you because it does not fit their use case.
I’m also gen z and from the US, I go to university, and most people who I know use Whatsapp or Discord to communicate. While Whatsapp is not perfect, their messages are end-to-end encrypted, which is much better than most other mainstream platforms (I would honestly say that it is better than Telegram). Discord can at least be accessed through a browser with an email alias.
My preference for communication would be:
Best realistic case: Whatsapp or iMessage (if you have an Apple device)
Reluctantly use: Discord, Instagram, Telegram, SMS, any messenger that can be accessed through the browser without installing an app
They are still against gay marriage
Because not every app you download needs to know all of your information
