I set up Affine and Kanboard to help with various projects. I got fed up of Notion, Trello, and/or a git repository full of documents.

Instead of making it worse you could extract it to a new file. Make an interface. Write a unit test. Anything.
The guy wonders why the file is 15k lines long and then describes exactly why.

I enjoy some GUNSHIP, especially because their music videos are excellent. Timecop1983 is well worth listening to. Mac Quail is on there, he did the soundtrack for Mr. Robot. Vangelis is on there, famous for the soundtrack to at least Bladerunner.
There are more that I recognize as good artists, too.

Is there a list for slightly longer stories? I don’t mind a short story now and then, but I feel like a 6-minute story barely scratches the itch for me most of the time.
Edit to say that I mean longer than an hour, too. I filtered this list by length and they’re all very short, which is the point, obviously.
I guess I’m looking for a novella, or something like 4 hours in length, perhaps.
A lot of companies use Google these days, I guess more of the smaller companies.
An old phrase that’s stuck with me over the years, although I forget where I heard it:
I like it when my code works first time. It’s like Christmas, but less often.
Thanks for your code review. :-D
Yep, I know, but my code isn’t in a real language.
It renders correctly in my client (Sync), what are you using? I’ll edit it anyway.
Let me find the sequence diagram…
/** * Gets the user **/ fun getUser() { return this.user; }

I’ve worked back and front end, and with a lot of developers, and I don’t think anyone would say they’re the same. Software devs are some of the most pedantic people out there.

I think you’re making problems where there aren’t any. A device PIN or fingerprint along with Signal is probably way more secure than any family chat needs to be.
essteeyou@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Suggest me a secure chat platform for my familyEnglish5·1 年前I imagine that most people’s families will find Singal easier than using a CLI program anyway. It’s rare to find an entire family without typical cellphones.
I do like Trello, but Kanboard is a pretty good replacement. Lacking some polish, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make.
