3 days agoI experienced the complete opposite. Ultrasonic was crap, inaccurate, and slow (until it stopped working completely), while optical was just a tap, and very accurate

I’d like to switch back to my older phone, one of main reasons is the fingerprint sensor. The old phone has the plain old sensor at the back, where i naturally touch my phone, and its very fast. Much faster, and accurate than the newer phone’s in screen sensor… when that was working… but it isnt working at all since a year.
Ultrasonic in screen sensor is absolute crap in every aspects. However the newer phone is a Huawei which also crap in everything, except its leica camera.

An electron “app” which means: embedded website in embedded browser. Same shit like ms teams and the most of ms applications

4129·1 year agoChina makes its "partner"s loan slaves, also they say its mandatory to do the build process by chinese too, for very expensive, and low quality. We see this in hungary.
lol now i see: if a language is not set in my lemmy instance settings (only availabe from web), then lemmy hides the messages that are not set for me. Since it was on undetermined (default), all english posts are hidden… This is really weird, and nonsense, this kind of problems can discourage new lemmy users.
yes, IF you’re in the inner city. Else, if you live the outer parts of the city, or if you have to go there, you’re mostly doomed to ride on 30+ years old junk (or even see tram line 2 next to the parlaiment with those 60 years old not nice trams), with many transfers and long walks. But the transport in budapest handled by the (oppositional) city, not by the stateparty. However the stateparty takes as many money as they can from the city, just because the people in the city not voted them, so it’s hard to improve the city transfport without money.
Lol! Come to hungary! Here the 30 min or even more delay is usual. While branchlines are closed due to the state railways dont have enough working diesels, as most of them are 40+ years old (or just soviet quality), and no money for new, as the EU stopped sending support, due to the corruption of the stateparty-government.

I dont think ultrasonic can be better, but regardless of sensor tech, in screen sensor is absolutely crap, i put the inventors to the same box as the inventors/pushers of micro usb, curved edge phone screens, removing jack connectors, etc… these things arey very annoying, and very useless.
