Come to think of it (been a long time since I have seen the film) I can’t remember if there was a slant to any one religion injected in the film. It is a mixed bag, some support legalization and smoking weed. A lot of the MAGA base are older, 60’s (era of flower power, drugs, freedom) gen that sold out their peace/no war to become CEO’s and fuck over the workers, yet still like to party. The other side are more religious, so “god” has told them (in their minds, I guess) that weed and all drugs are bad. Pharmaceuticals though, are welcome, in hand-fulls. It is all fuzzy math, really.
