That’s because they are. It’s just a socially acceptable drug addiction.

The Windows is not free. The OEMs pay a license fee and that cost is passed on to people buying those computers.
I think it’s usually less explicit than that. Human survival is predicated on being part of a community. Exile is an existential threat. And for most of our existence, you couldn’t just change communities. So you want to think like those around you. There doesn’t have to be a threat of physical violence, just a threat of no longer belonging.
Introverts don’t not want social connection. They just prefer a smaller number of deeper connections. “You’re not people” is a common sentiment from introverts to their closest friends and family. Most introverts still have and enjoy social connection. They just prefer it in an intimate or chill setting to large groups.
All eggs sold in stores in the US are pre-washed. It’s why they need to be refrigerated, unlike most other places.
It would be a contraction of had: “I had better write…” Using would there doesn’t make sense.
I looked it up. macOS is still unix certified.
BSD is usually not unix certified, so has to refer to itself as unix like.
What is and isn’t unix is kind of up to what definition you’re working with (pedigree, legally, practically).
I think macOS is actually Unix certified. It at least was at one point.
With reasonable, actionable steps. If you don’t have those, then they kind of have a point, don’t they? It’s like the Newton’s flaming laser sword of politics.
They covered him not expecting 15 years.
He was likely looking for a few days to a few weeks of three squares and a cot.
I don’t think anyone expects 15 years over an unarmed robbery of $100 because it’s completely disproportionate.
The guy turned himself in he felt so bad for stealing $100 from a bank. I don’t think that’s a sign of a bad dude raised poorly.
No, because CrowdStrike didn’t bork the drivers for those systems. They could have, though.
I would definitely save it under a new name at the start because I’d totally accidentally save it without renaming at some point if I didn’t.
Most consumers don’t buy their own routers. The only time I’ve helped people buy routers in the last decade is to get one you could install a vpn on. Looking at the wireless standards never crossed our minds.
And more expensive than flying a good chunk of the time!
The thing is, placebos can actually be pretty effective. Hell, they’re effective even if you know they’re a placebo. And the more elaborate and similar to what you think would be involved in curing you, the more effective. So people going to chiropractors might actually be getting real results even if the things they’re doing are junk.
I’m saying people who don’t play this credit game but otherwise are good financially also think it’s dumb. Not just bad risks.
You’re discounting the people who have always lived within their means and so never took on debt. They also don’t have good credit. They’ve never missed a payment. They’re good for the money. But they don’t have a history showing that because they’ve never needed that.
Caffeine is physically addictive. You get withdrawals if you’re addicted and stop cold turkey. It does vary person to person. But most people get a splitting headache.
