18·1 year agoCertainly seems that way. Original mod hasn’t been active on Lemmy in ~4 months, and the dude who took it over from him hasn’t been active in ~2.
Needs new blood running the place if there’s any chance of it being revived. Everything is just left up to specific club communities in the meantime.

It wasn’t always, but 4chan trolls tried to make media outlets believe that it was a “white power” symbol (with the three fingers held up representing a “W” and the thumb-forefinger circle + wrist/arm representing a “P”). They succeeded a little too well, and so not only did media outlets report on it, but racist groups saw that reporting and went “dang, Cletus, we should start doin’ that!”
So what started as a stupid joke has actually manifested itself.
As a fellow Gooner, it’s pretty clear Sambi’s got loads of potential, he just is not far enough along developing it to be immediately useful to the process. Especially after this season just ended, where we’re that much further ahead of where we thought we’d be - we just can’t be spending the minutes on developing a player like that. Burnley under Kompany would be great for him, I think.
