Could someone let me in the joke and tell me what editor this guy’s comparing VScode too?
Oh Zed. I think it’s got promise but cross platform is gonna be necessary for mass adoption.

Hamas certainly won’t either
I get that warning all the time and it’s just a reminder to go update my browser and update all of my filters for ublock origin. After everything’s updated YouTube goes back to working
“I’m not saying we actually do it it’s the implication that we will do it”
Stopping immigrants at the border would actually be a horrendous policy and have devastating economic effects. Literally advocating for a terrible US policy that could be seen as inhumane and unethical.
Let’s not forget brexit. Americans aren’t alone in their dumbassarry
I like this article but I think it mischaracterizes the EV push. Well I think it’s right identifying it as imperialistic competition The push for EVs is also very heavy by environment focused groups since cars are a major contributor to global emissions. Many other countries that aren’t in direct competition with China like Finland are already converting most of their petrol powered cars into electric vehicles and making petrol power illegal.
If you want to focus on something that’s much more likely to be influenced by imperialistic competition that would be something like the chips act which is straight up to get the US out of Chinese factories and labor
The Firefox password manager can be secured with a master password that encrypts everything in your browser password store. Believe it’s pretty secure if you set this password otherwise it’s almost akin to having passwords stored in plain text.
+1 for bitwarden
Blame the supreme Court and the assholes that brought the challenge to the supreme Court.
It was a volunteer. Not a solider ordered to be there
Man hackernews is full of people criticizing the poster saying that he should have disengaged the system so it learns completely missing the point that FSD should not be considered safe.
Instead of using something like a bind mount you could try using a Network file share like NFS which has pretty good performance or you could use samba but performance is not its strong suit.
Depending on the Mac you’re using you can set up a VM directly using a hypervisor like VirtualBox or UTM to help improve performance. However if you’re trying to run a production application on a MacBook using docker you’re going to have a bad time. If you’re trying to performance test you’re better off trying to set up a cloud instance in Amazon using Linux to get better performance
It’s unfortunate that’s the bar for good news but at least that is good news
Tax codes and capitalism at it finest. Companies gonna company
