This IS human expression. Human had a concept and realized it using a tool. Human expression comes in many shapes and forms. How is this any less effort than adding caption to a template image, which is 80% of regular memes? IMO, you’re just biased and don’t treat it fairly.

Yes, really. And I actually think I was quite conservative with time requirements.
And why can’t you only judge the idea/joke aspect of the work? Sure, the execution didn’t require much effort, but the point was to convey* the idea/joke.
Are holodeck programs in StarTrek automatically worthless because to create them people merely instruct the Computer what and where to put?
What kind of logic is that? The tool exists and it takes 30 seconds to achieve a comparable result to what would’ve taken 10-30 minutes doing manually depending on user’s skills. Is it only ok to use image generation for hard-to-do stuff?
It’s just a joke about how there’s so little video posting on Lemmy and that some clients don’t support it.

What do you think you’re doing?! Videos on Lemmy are illegal!
I mean, it is possible to just give Sora the same image and ask to modify it. It won’t be exactly the same, but with a couple tries you can get something decent. Not to mention it can do transparent background images. The downvotes felt like a disapproval for suggesting using AI.
And regarding the user, their ModLog just seems like a blanket ban from dbzer0 cause they downvote a lot. In my Voyager local tracker the user has 4 upvotes from me, so they can’t be that bad or a bot.
Not sure what your downvotes mean. That’s clearly Sora’s work.
Is it short for Wartholomeow?

Being a remote island (archipelago), the internet prices are insane. Almost nobody has uncapped internet, mostly only business.
Yep, that’s them. Had a long-ass thread with them where they wouldn’t engage with any of my arguments about why Ukrainians aren’t Nazis and instead tried to attack me directly. But can’t tell for sure if they are a tankie, vatnik, or just a troll.

Record subscriber gains.English1·5 months agoRemembering how Subset Games is notoriously anti-mobile I looked into it. Turns out, as usual, they did not intend to release a mobile port, just like with FTL. They have an FTL iPad port, but refused to release an Android port due to piracy concerns, claiming it wasn’t worth the effort to bother with the port. But Netflix approached them and sponsored the mobile ports for Into the Breach. In other words, if not for Netflix, the game would not have been playable on mobile at all. This likely applies to all the other Netflix exclusive games, they don’t buy licenses, they sponsor the ports.
And even if they were just buying licenses and making games available only through Netflix, then go complain to the game devs, not Netflix. Devs are the ones who agreed to it when they were offered money.

It’s not a universal thing or a rule, cause San Andreas Definitive Edition, for example, is available for purchase for $20. Probably depends on what the game publisher agreed to.

It’s just an extra that you have for “free”, not a dedicated gaming subscription. I also live in Europe and my Netflix is cheap, so I will have the subscription by default (cause a lot of people in my family watch it), which means I get to try the games for free. You can always just go buy them if you want, from the store.
Why is everybody posting my cat today?!
Careful, posting your collection of Harry Potter books to Lemmy.
