  • So far, yeah. They already have a significant US operation in New Hampshire that’s being expanded and upgraded. It shouldn’t be a surprise such a company met the US production requirements first because military hardware contracts require significant levels of domestic content to begin with that BAE already meets.

Other applicants are having to establish whole new operations in the US for the first time ever. That takes a while. This kind of manufacturing needs a bit more than 4 walls, a roof, and some machines.

Grant announcements for Intel shouldn’t be too far out. Their plan is for a whole new plant which requires more planning than the route BAE went with.

  • Mountain biking. Especially if you have a local organization for trail management. They’re almost always looking for volunteers.

You’ll have the biking, being active outdoors, some hiking for trail management, typically some fund raising events, bike maintenance/repair workshops, community rides and potentially more depending on the size of the group.

Good variety of activity from solo riding to big social gatherings. And I’ve found it a much more chill group of people than road bikers. And it doesn’t really require the super expensive $2k+ bikes some people opt for. My current ride is at about $700 all in and does everything I need it to do.

  • Older gentleman walked into the lobby of our office. None of us knew who he was or had seen him before. He looked confused and lost. Someone went over to ask if they could help him. He tried to but didn’t respond. Then fell over. Hit his head on a table on the way down. Was dead before the pandemics arrived.

We were all in shock. Poor guy was starting into a stroke when he walked in. Maybe even walked into our office to try getting help. But it was already too late.
