Besides rise which was doing fine months ago have anything else taken off?(I’ve noticed a buzz of activity by city lemmings and such)
Would Trump get any legal immunities from being speaker?
If it gets people to comment go for it commenting and posting would basically be voting with your feet people who are complaining are likely already generating content in technology science ect in those topics reddit reposts aren’t necessary.
Cute! My dog when she was young loved hunting cats
It’s like a shortbarrel gun used by partisans in ww2 due to its ease of concealment

With third party apps added and new niche communities its getting alot better. I’m enjoying it. Also has a high level of discussion a higher level of discussion without karma.
How can the privacy alt web correlate with the content of data itself and the ability to access the data? How might private storage compete with corporate super hardrives for websites?
Youtube as others noted isnt as evil as reddit or others, but peertube could be a good augmentation to youtube which stores loads of data. However Internet Archive stores alot of data as does Wikipedia don’t know how though. You could also pay per video, one cent per video no subscription just own what you buy. Or you could find way of compressing video data consumption files like is done with png and obsidian files. Or merge ads with content but with a marketplace anyone who wants to sale a product can post to specilized instants for sales and only those who want to buy would be subscribed to for profit instances.
My above examples show that Niche communities if they are created in Lemmy will likely be completely different in composition from Reddit it took months for R/Threads to gain 200+users for example would have been longer if the invite option wasn’t there more like 50-120. This is the reality when niche communities are created on Lemmy they are going to be totally different from the niche subreddits.(spent months treating it like a Threads archive before the subreddit gained popularity as a Threads discussion forum at 50 members and consistently growing even b4 I sent the invites)
Except in my community no one joined the lemming and then when I polled them on participation in the strike they voted to reopen https://lemmy.ml/post/1328516 https://www.reddit.com/r/Threads1984/comments/14cw78l/rthreads_is_both_reopened_and_committed_to_the/

Trying to gradually Normalize Lemmy and convince them of the need to prepare For spezpocalypse and prepare Spez shelters that will ensure the survival of R/Threads1984 and which they can flee to when IPO begins to hit With Lemmy it is more then likely I will have to build the living community from scratch with the Lemming or Squabbles giving refuge to those seeking Spez shelters
