I’m definitely guilty of that sometimes.

I’m not the biggest fan of capitalism myself but the existence of debt does not mean it is broken. Debt is a mechanism to allow for solid investments, e.g. building infrastructure or schools that will create a net positive in the (far) future.
Germany for example has enacted a Schuldenbremse (debt-break) in 2009 and forbids our states to take on new debt and limits the debt taken on the federal level to a minisule percentage of the GDP. Our infrastructure is currently slowly but noticeably crumbling away, bridges are getting closed for heavy traffic and experts say many of them have become irreparable due to missing maintenance and need to be fully rebuild in a few years. The local military barracks are in such a desolate condition that the soldiers need to drive two towns over to shower. We might not take on financial debt, but an infrastructure debt that will demand an even bigger toll on us.

I think there are two areas missing in this picture so that’s probably a contributing factor.

This is deeply disturbing. A police force should invoke trust but this will only make it so that more and more people won’t believe anything any cop will say. And rightfully so because the likelihood of that cop wanting to destroy your life is too high to risk it.

It certainly needs a special type of person I think. We are both very independent people for example and we value alone-times.
It helps that we have a common interest that can be shared via the distance: Playing videogames and watching shows like Star Trek together.

I really wish we’d have chosen a term that does not include “sex” because it leads to a distorted view such as yours that it must be sexual. It’s in the name after all, right?
But heterosexuality has been promoted to kids for ages now! Children’s shows include married couples for example (husband + wife) or the main character goes into a relationship with a character of the opposite gender. So why does the same thing suddenly become “grooming” and “inappropriate” when it’s husband + husband or wife + wife?

Also, covering homosexuality in school does not equate to having “kids choose their sexuality”. Not to mention that it’s not a choice anyway.

Yeah, being able to seamlessly switch between the desktop app and mobile is a must for me so that’s something I already prefer in Signal.

Don’t think it would be that easy. What Yast does is creating a middle layer between the actual config files and the user. You can look at it, most (if not all) of it is stored in /etc/sysconfig. Yast generates the actual config files out of what is stored there. This can be a headache because editing the config files directly will sometimes lead to them just being overwritten bei Yast again.
This is probably the reason why other distros don’t even want to adopt Yast, it would have to fundamentally change how it interacts with the config files.
And the cool new thing is Cockpit anyway, even though it can do only a fraction of what Yast can last time I checked…

I tried to install Windows 10 about two years ago as a dual boot option. The selection on which disk to install it on always failed with some obscure error. Turns out the installer couldn’t handle multiple disks being available so I had to unplug every disk except the soon-to-be Windows 10 disk…whereas the openSuse installer was able to setup a pretty complicated RAID+encryption setup easily.
