Do you game with friends? If so, what do you use instead of discord?
I feel like “threat model” can distance people away from privacy communities, i.e. thinking you need a threat to get privacy. I certainly avoid using it because of that opinion. I wish there was a more approachable non-security term for it, like “data priority” or something like that.
Again, just my opinion and how I react to hearing “threat model” (as a privacy advocate myself).
But for some reason they don’t develop features for e2ee like the other chats. Perhaps it’s just hard
It’ll probably take time though until it’s available
Sometimes even anything other than SMS kn the US because ppl just assume everyone have iPhones

To me 100$/y seems a little much compared to Proton Unlimited and the amount of features there. Perhaps it’s like that due to their size and AI features
Not saying you’re wrong, want to share my perspective: I agree with the AI, the quick answer saves me a ton of time by adding source links where I always click on to verify the answer (quicker than going through search results when I don’t know the terminology).
As to the browser - not really sure why they’re pushing for their own, isn’t FF good enough?
There’s some tradeoff here, keep garbage out and relevant results in. Definitely want to stay connected with others and share knowledge (such as websites that provide quality info)
I find DDG not great at finding what I need, where Kagi returns less results but they are more relevant.
There’s also AI features that can be integrated with the search results which helps.
Like someone else said here - I do what I can and go on with my day. Wouldn’t assume soneone who cares/proactive about privacy is “overthinking”.
As with everything in life, there’s a tradeoff for everything. I just recently downloaded LineageOS MicroG fork because ride share apps simply won’t launch without Google play services.
This is awesome! Is there a way to freeze the first column? Just so you can scroll to the right and see the categories
For airdrop? There’s a foss airdrop?!
I didn’t know kagi is supported in Brave mobile. Been trying to set it up on Mull (Firefox) but gotta wait for v122 so I can install via a file
I started a trial witg kagi after ddg stopped finding results (while Google did)
Apparently there’s no RCS API so any 3rd party app will disappear at some point (if RCS becomes the popular protocol)
Might be better to just use taxis if their price is reasonable
Not at all actually, maybe for my parents
