I disagree. None of those other actions serve a purpose. It’s not like we can absorb calories through touch, smell or our eyes. No bosy just licks meat and then throws it away like they would if they just touched, smelled, or saw it. We actually eat the meat when we taste it. That’s why people enjoy the taste, because they associate it with being fed. Not because of some cognitive dissonance as the meme suggests.

There isn’t a society encouraging this but there are plenty who refuse to fix the conditions that cause it.
