The alternative is absolutely unfathomable. Like I am an atheist and the fact we exist in any capacity is insane. Where did everything come from? Where will it go? People believe in religion because it’s easier.

When I have an existential crisis over it I sometimes wish I was religious.

In my experience a Resume is a one page. A CV is 2-3.

I think the big part of it is the required time it takes to be considered competent. Like for arguments sake lets throw out cost of education. The amount of time and effort it takes to be considered a competent surgan is hundreds of times longer than training a competent burger flipper.

Even with grilling there is different skill levels. A professional chef/smoker takes a long time to hone their art.

I think everyone should be paid a living wage, but when people throw trained professionals that require years of experience in with cashiers or fast food cooks it really subtracts from their argument.

We should be trying to elevate all jobs to a living wage while recognizing some jobs are just harder. Otherwise no one will listen.

I agree that all jobs need some training, but I think the termology is the real enemy. Like yes a cashier needs training but is it comparable to what is considered “skilled labor/trades” like qualified electriction, plumbers, welders, engineers, etc?

I think everyone should make a living wage and think the terminology is definitely used to oppress and divide but whenever I see these arguments it really feels like people don’t see a distinction between the amout of work/time it takes to be competent in these jobs.

F has finer whole number resolution for temperatures typically experienced by humans. Obviously C can be represented by decimals, but I tend to think whole numbers are clearer.

Personally I use C and metric for all my scientific work and F for representing outside temperature.

I was entering my appartment lobby as someone was going to leave (door swings out). I went to open a door for them, stand to the side, and let them out before going in myself. However, I went for the handle as they hit the auto handicap door opener so I am just standing there sudo holding the handle as it SLOWLY self opens and waiting for them to go through.

Not sure their religion, but if she/family were muslum the 10 days is a massive slap in the face as traditional muslum burials must happen within three days after death. 10 days is ridiculous regardless, but its just another layer of disrespect.

For the people who really value or benifit from the research like masters and Ph.D students the research is is the primary advertising. They are not mutually exclusive. Let the people who care about the team/sports have their thing. For a lot of people it could be their motivation for going there and getting an education.

I argue that someone’s first Dark Souls run gives a viewer a great understanding of a person’s true personality and how they deal with difficult problems. Like watching my stubborn friend grind out fighting the titinite deamon by the blacksmith for 3 hours with an unupgraded spear really illistrated how stubborn he can be but also the dedication for self improvement. Your playthrough can also be self reflective. I found that I am quick to search for loopholes or cheese strats on hard bosses rather than put in the reps to learn it properly. I noticed I did the same thing in classes. Not cheating, but more like finding tricks and short cuts to make it work now rather than polishing basic skills and getting a deep understanding of the problem.

Was very eye opening to me and made me realize that how and what someone plays can tell you alot about a person.

The entire country is mobilized, I suspect it would be hard to find anywhere that doesn’t have uniformed personal. They still have to eat, this was a restaurant not a military target. Better blow up the local gas station too because uniformed people vist for snacks.
