Abstention has historically been a way to declare your distaste for all options and, outside of America, is regarded as honorable. For some reason Americans don’t get that a massive absence at the polls isn’t just about “having better things to do”.

You can enjoy it, but you’re insane if you don’t see a marked drop in quality from installation to installation in terms of map design, content, sound design and more. How many times are they going to reuse Mega Evolution with a new coat of paint instead of just keeping it already working?
Why do they prevent you from transferring Pokemon into newer generations? It’s not because they don’t have the space for the information. They’re saving money by not having to spend dev hours remodeling all the older Pokemon to fit the new art style or graphic threshold.
All in all, given the profits, they could put a lot more effort into making the experience more fun.
Here’s a decent breakdown of the issues between generations: (Warning: The presentation leaves something to be desired but the crux of the argument is sound.)
I absolutely detest the Flanderization of Drax and Thor. I appreciate moments of comedy, but I didn’t come to watch Abbot and Costello.
You can’t create what isn’t there. There’s a whole history of political abuse that festered. The CIA capitalized on that, they didn’t just waltz in February 2014 and say: “How about let’s have a revolution, eh guys?”
You’re also not taking into account subscription price hikes, policies dictating what you can and can’t do with the software, media availability without internet, surveillance and data selling.
Netflix has doubled their fees in the last ten years while hemorrhaging beloved content to other streaming services.
Netflix and others dictate that you’re not allowed to siphon the shows and movies to watch later, at a time and place that may be inconvenient for the service (such as removing it).
Go anywhere without internet and suddenly all of your paid options don’t exist. That may be resolved one day by unlimited internet everywhere, but that leads into…
These streaming services will know where you are and what you’re doing all the time. Surveillance in general has only gotten worse, and watchdogs may be vigilant but it’s not blunting how much privacy is being stripped away from you on a regular basis.
The price you’re paying isn’t just dollars and it’s not locked in forever.
I never mentioned age. I mentioned games that are played for thousands of hours. Meaning that the value of those games far exceeds the value of the subscription. Furthermore, then the subscription ends (including when pulling games that are too old) and you are left without the game you have been sinking an incredible amount of time into just because some suits determined that not enough people play X game to warrant providing server space.
Yes. I am explaining that the opposite value of that statement doesn’t go far enough.

To be fair nobody plays just one single game for 3 years.
Where’s the confusion?
Skyrim, Fallout 4, RDR2, Witcher 3, The Sims, Dark Souls, Civilization, Borderlands 1/2, Stardew Valley, Persona…
Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean there aren’t people that come back again and again between games to dust off an old favorite. While I personally never touched Fallout 4 again after beating it, I’ll break out my XBox 360 and give New Vegas a whirl to see what character concept I’ll try this time.
The Economist is inherently fascist because it exists both as a product of and to foment capitalism.

The lyrics by themselves tell a story, but this song is the capstone to indie game To The Moon, which is an emotionally devastating tale. The theme of being near each other despite all else going wrong (thus making it all okay) was what made it my wife’s song of choice to sing to our son while he was in the NICU. I cannot hear this without my emotional state falling apart.
“able to do anything”
I’m all set up right there, thanks.
Even more importantly: God is omnipotent, which means they don’t make mistakes. A simulation doesn’t imply a higher power that is perfect in every way.

And then there’s Yamask and Phantump.
Pokémon Unite
I tried it early on but I felt it lacked the maturity and depth of playing a more serious and in-depth MOBA like League of Legends. I played a lot of Pokémon games throughout the years but it just paled compared to how fulfilling the long-form games and lore of Leagues went.
Turns out I’m a dad now and these shorter, punchier games are both perfect for me and somehow more fulfilling. On top of that they added complexity with Boost Medallions without breaking the game with them. It makes the setup more cerebral because you lose stats as well as gain.
So the thing about these linds of games is that you theoretically can master any Champion/Pokémon, but there are some that you just intuitively understand. Keep trying different characters until you find one you gel with in Standard/non-Ranked matches, then get a feel for how to improve your runes/items by playing Ranked and studying your shortcomings. It’s how I found out that I love to play walls and use items that optimize walls for damage. (Iceborn Gauntlet, Sunfire, Demonic Embrace type stuff for LoL and Rocky Helmet/Shell Bell/Drain Crown for Unite.)
Wow. You have a severe issue with people who are presented some options and say: “No, thanks.”
I have a civic duty that if I am not represented by a candidate, that I do not muster support behind that candidate. If a political party needs my support, it is their responsibility and not mine to attract the voters they claim to need.
You can watch the constant sliding of Democrats toward the right and the vacillating popularity of fringe-left parties to know that the Democratic Party doesn’t give a damn about winning left-fringe voters. After Nader secured over 3 million votes in 2000, do you think the Democratic party learned a single lesson? Or did they just shit the bed all over again in 2004? Did Obama run on any of the 2000 Green Party’s positions?
I’ll save you the effort: The Democratic Party opted to adopt 0 of the Green Party positions from the 2000 election.
So tell me all about how voting Third-Party somehow sends a message.
