That’s the ironic part, ByteDance was developing a clone of Vine as they saw that was the future, they had developed a killer algorithm and bought another Vine clone Music.ly for cheap to rebrand as Douyin (or TikTok internationally).

Mind you, Vine made money, it’s just that Twitter refused to pay content creators, they saw people posted for free on Twitter and were looking for ways to convince people to make profit without paying. On numerous instances, groups of creators demanded to be compensated on Vine and even Periscope, or they’ll leave and Twitter told them to go fuck themselves.

Reminds me of how they shut down the incredibly successful Vine (short form video) because they figured they’d make more money with Periscope (very long form video). Despite literally nobody wanting it.

These tech bros live in a deluded bubble with no understanding on what average people want.

I agree. I know millionaires who call themselves middle class because they can’t afford everything they want and still do “commoner things” like watching basketball.

I wouldn’t say I support Trump but there’s a reason the liberal world order despises him, Trump is such a raging narcissist, that he’s willing to destroy American power to help himself.

Christian Parenti (Michael’s son) says he supports Trump just because at least he’s destructive to NATO and treats the DPRK better than any other American leader.

There is no real rebellion while within the American Empire, only performative gestures are allowed like when Canada and Western European countries dissented with the US during the Invasion of Iraq but they secretly sent troops, weapons and vehicles of war to show the US their allegiance.

And forget about the ones like V*ush that call themselves socialist and denounce agitation and that the only path to revolution is to vote Democrats harder than ever.

I think they might have gone a bit easier on the censorship, I realized I’d get shadowbanned just by saying “Palestine”, which seems they don’t do anymore. But words like “genocide”, “intifada” and “from the River to the Sea” will still get nuked.
