  • Brody argues that, despite the substantive public investment, disclosing too many details about the city’s dealings with a developer could jeopardize the city’s ability to make deals with private businesses in the future.

“We’re looking at developers’ bank accounts,” he noted. “This allowed Mr. Paterakis to finance the project without revealing confidential information,” he said.

Still, Brody maintains the city had to assist Paterakis to mitigate the difficulties of building close to the water. Among the challenges he cited was the construction of a slurry wall to support bulkheads that now anchor the Four Seasons Hotel.

This is basically, the whole basis of Bourgeois Dictatorship.

Remember what else the state is doing to accelerate private interests: https://therealnews.com/baltimores-downward-spiral-of-poverty-disinvestment-and-over-policing

This type of “investment” is constantly occurring, it’s these cities trying to become “global cities”: settler outposts to attract the international bourgeoisie as a place to spend their blood money. Where do their “tourists” get their money? Exploiting their home countries through collaborating with Imperialism. These developments’ profit streams are through Gulf Oil money, Post-Soviet resources, and East Asian manufacturing giants, super exploited migrant labor, and African and American Indigenous semi-peasant exploitation. This is what “slum clearing” entails, make room for the bourgs. This is how all of the famous urban neighborhoods of Europe that all of these settler-cities aim to model were also made. US Imperialism is crystallizing itself into the built environment of the of the US and Canada.

  • CLN member, biased perspective:

S brought PFs behavior towards them (S) to the IACI internal, the behavior didn’t stop as PF made another post rehashing an old argument with S about nuclear power1. S again confronted the org about this and demanded an apology from PF on behalf of the partner orgs/communities who saw PFs problematic nuclear take and reached out to S about it. S felt the org was more interested in keeping this a “personal issue” between S and PF rather than poor behavior towards comrades and insensitive public messaging to “get back” at someone and left IACI. S called out certain IACI members in the CLN internal, then in public, for not providing a safe space in the IACI, and not holding members accountable for pro-colonial takes in a formally anti-Colonial educational org, and actually said they’d “wreck anyone who’s pro-colonial” as in literally fight individuals, not in the organizational sense. Certain IACI members ran with that as intent to destroy the org alongside claims of “hacking” individuals’ Instagram accounts, the evidence, from my personal and biased position, extremely flimsy.

The “dispute” goes beyond that but at that point it’s not relevant beyond personal insults. There was no breaking of centralism, IACI is less than 10 people and horizontal. By the time S had gone public they had left the org.

1: Which is a sensitive subject as CLN has a land base in Lakota territory and that land is contaminated by uranium runoff that a dictator assinated 200 people so he could sell the mining rights to a multi-national firm, his GOON squad worked with the feds to destroy the AIM. We also have partners in the Diné, Hawaiian, and Black Australian communities affected by Colonialism that fuels nuclear power.

  • We have a gofundme here that we passed 2 of 3 major goals on already and we are trying to fund another 10k for a comrade’s wheelchair replacement. The project is building a home for some elders and a meeting hall for the traditional government of Pine Ridge (as opposed to the imposed neo-Colonial IRA governments), as well as purchasing land for growing hemp for in-community clothing production and more, and the truck and logistics required for the construction.

An affiliated group is also running a coat and winter supply drive for adults and children especially as Pine Ridge Reservation has one of the harshest winters in the lower 48 and many are without electricity. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-lakota-families-stay-warm-through-winter

For a TL;DR of what Chunka Luta is, we are a network of affiliated platforms and individuals acting as a forum for organizers/communists from all over to coordinate and assist each others’ on the ground organizing with the intent of creating a high level platform connecting the many movements on the continent together.

  • Existing indigenous nations govern the land. Even the neo-Colonial IRA governments are at the forefront of fighting climate change, habitat destruction, and mass extinctions (almost all biodiversity is on indigenous managed land). There are Communists in these nations trying to build them into radical socialist projects. Some nations are very radical.

The settlers will be governed by a joint dictatorship of the oppressed nations, but will have political rights within revolutionary institutions for women, LGBTQ2S+, youth, workers, etc. Much the same as how the CPC rules China, the dictatorship will be selective in who it elevates into the state machine but will stay in touch with the masses through mass organizations like those listed above.

I’m updating to this one now, but honestly no it’s not worth it. I’m on P6P and weird stuff like my call notification just not showing up and random gesture nav freezes has turned me off of participating in future betas. Missing phone calls because I can’t see them has been problematic in multiple events these last few months. I’m going to reset my phone come the official update.

  • He’s a Communist. He’s people first, so he is a good Communist. He ran a poverty alleviation program as a provincial secretary which got him the national position, which he has been overseeing poverty alleviation at the national level. The program he ran took wealth and Capital from his coastal province Fujian and built up the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The poverty alleviation in Xinjiang that occured in the last decade is a continuation of Xi’s work. He was really the guy Xinjiang needed in a time of crisis with deep poverty where the citizens there have a larger barrier to migrant labor opportunities due to language barriers (many older Uighurs don’t know Mandarin or Chinese script and only use Uighur script).

Xi’s ideology in terms of which theories he upholds is honestly less relevant (even so, he upholds ML), because he is the lead organizer of an AES state where attending to the needs of the people is most important. For him and China’s context this means improving peoples’ lives without bringing too much chaos, but always identifying problems by their primary contradictions so that they are eventually solved.
